We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you:

  • visit https://www.chinasource.com, including its localized, marketplace, category, supplier and blog pages (the "Website");
  • use our mobile applications, where available;
  • communicate with ChinaSource through WhatsApp Business, email, advertisements, social-media platforms or their messaging features;

The Website and our services are intended primarily for business-to-business use and for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about a company is not necessarily personal information, but information identifying an individual business contact—such as a name, business email address, telephone number or job title—may be personal information under applicable law.

Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Website and our services.

1. Personal Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, profile image and business contact details, including your email address and telephone or WhatsApp number;
  • your employer or company name, business location, role, job title and industry;
  • sourcing requirements, including product descriptions, specifications, drawings, photographs, quantities, target prices, certifications, delivery destinations, requested timelines and other commercial requirements;
  • the entire content of your conversations with the ChinaSource AI agent, messages, emails and other communications, including attachments, feedback, support requests and records of supplier introductions;
  • your communication, cookie and marketing preferences; and
  • information you provide when exercising a privacy right or otherwise contacting us about this Privacy Policy.

Please provide only personal information that is necessary for your request. If you provide personal information about another person, you must have authority to provide it and, where required, inform that person about this Privacy Policy.

1.2 Information collected automatically through the Website

When you visit or use the Website, we and our service providers may automatically receive:

  • your Internet Protocol address, access time, requested pages and files, referring URL, and campaign or UTM parameters;
  • advertising-click identifiers included in a landing-page URL, such as a Google Click Identifier, and related campaign or conversion identifiers;
  • browser type, user-agent information, operating system, device type, language settings and basic request information;
  • network-related information, such as internet service provider or autonomous system number and, where used for security, indications that traffic may originate from a proxy, virtual private network or hosting provider;
  • approximate location inferred from an IP address, generally at country or region level and sometimes at city level, but not precise GPS location;
  • cookie identifiers, consent choices, session identifiers, visit history, page interactions and conversion or advertising-measurement identifiers; and
  • Website performance, security and diagnostic information.

We use Google Ads conversion cookies and related technologies to measure whether visits from our search-engine-marketing campaigns result in eligible Website conversions, such as selecting a ChinaSource WhatsApp call-to-action. Where required, advertising-measurement cookies are not written or read unless you accept the applicable category in Cookie Settings.

When advertising storage is declined, Google Consent Mode may still send limited cookieless measurement requests containing consent state, technical request information, page or advertising-click parameters and eligible measurement events. For more information, see Section 10 and our Cookies Policy.

1.3 Information received through WhatsApp and similar services

When you communicate with us through WhatsApp Business, we may receive your WhatsApp telephone number or wa_id, profile name and profile image, message and conversation identifiers, timestamps, delivery information, conversation metadata, and the content and attachments you send.

WhatsApp does not ordinarily provide us with your IP address, browser information, device information, internet service provider or IP-based location. We receive precise location information through WhatsApp only if you actively choose to share it with us.

1.4 Information from other sources

We may receive or derive information from:

  • advertising, social-media and messaging platforms when you interact with a ChinaSource advertisement, page or account;
  • prospective suppliers and other parties involved in a sourcing request;
  • information provided by suppliers about their businesses, products and capabilities;
  • publicly available business records, company websites and professional profiles;
  • licensed third-party business, trade and market information; and
  • information lawfully held by us or our affiliated companies and used to provide company or supplier information, understand sourcing requests, support supplier matching or provide relevant business context.

We may combine this information with information you provide where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

1.5 Sensitive personal information

We do not seek sensitive or special-category personal information, such as information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, health, sex life or sexual orientation, genetic or biometric identifiers, or criminal convictions. We also do not request personal financial credentials through ordinary sourcing communications. Please do not send such information unless we specifically request it for a lawful and necessary purpose.

2. How and Why We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes and legal bases, where those legal bases are required by applicable law:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether those interests are compatible with your reasonable expectations and are not overridden by your rights and interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

3. Artificial Intelligence, Supplier Information and Automated Processing

ChinaSource uses artificial-intelligence systems, including large language models, to assist with tasks such as understanding sourcing requirements, generating and translating messages, organizing information, identifying potentially relevant suppliers, comparing supplier responses and preparing summaries.

The models and technical providers used for these functions may change as our services develop. Third-party AI providers may process conversation content only as necessary to provide contracted AI and technical services to ChinaSource. We require those providers to act under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection restrictions, and they are prohibited from using ChinaSource user information or conversation content to train or fine-tune their own models or any general-purpose model.

ChinaSource may use conversation content to fine-tune a ChinaSource-only internal model. We do not provide conversation content to third parties for their own model-training or fine-tuning purposes.

AI-generated results may be incomplete or inaccurate and are used to support, rather than replace, appropriate business judgment. ChinaSource does not use solely automated processing to make decisions about you that are intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects. You decide whether to contact, engage or transact with a supplier.

ChinaSource may collect, organize, compare and present supplier-provided information, public records, licensed third-party trade or market data, and other informational indicators to help users evaluate potential suppliers. This information may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. ChinaSource does not independently audit, verify, certify or vouch for any supplier, and does not provide a professional due-diligence report or guarantee a supplier's suitability, capability, reliability or compliance. Users remain responsible for conducting their own due diligence and making their own sourcing and transaction decisions.

If we screen suppliers against sanctions or other restricted-party lists, we do so for our own risk-management purposes only. Such screening is not a representation to you, and you must independently satisfy yourself that any supplier and any transaction is lawful for you.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information as follows.

4.1 Prospective suppliers

The purpose of ChinaSource is to help buyers identify and communicate with prospective suppliers, particularly suppliers based in China. Suppliers pay ChinaSource to promote their products and reach overseas buyers, and the suppliers suggested through the Service come from our paying supplier base.

ChinaSource processes the conversation you have with the AI agent to understand your sourcing requirements and provide the Service. Once we understand what you are looking for, we will tell you in the chat before disclosing the conversation to suppliers and ask you to confirm. If you confirm, your entire conversation with the AI agent, including sourcing requirements and content or attachments contained in the conversation, may become visible to suppliers in our directory who match the relevant product category. There may be many matching suppliers.

Matching suppliers may use your WhatsApp number or other relevant contact details to contact you directly. You can block a supplier, end a conversation or reply STOP at any time. You should not include information in the AI conversation that you would not want those suppliers to see, including confidential pricing, unnecessary personal information or information belonging to another person.

If you ask us to stop a sourcing request or erase information, we will apply the request to information within our control as required by law. Information already received by a supplier may remain subject to that supplier's independent legal obligations and retention practices.

4.2 Service providers and affiliated companies

We may disclose information to service providers and affiliated companies that support:

  • cloud hosting, content delivery, data storage, security, fraud prevention and Website operations;
  • business communications, email, customer support and WhatsApp Business functionality;
  • Website analytics, tag management and advertising or conversion measurement, including services provided by Cloudflare, Google and, where applicable, Meta;
  • business and trade-data systems used to provide supplier or company information, support supplier matching and conduct internal risk-management checks;
  • translation, automation, AI-gateway and large-language-model functions; and
  • internal administration, technical support, compliance and service delivery.

These organizations may process personal information only for the relevant services or as otherwise permitted by law. We use contractual and other safeguards appropriate to their role. We do not need to identify every underlying AI model in this Privacy Policy and may change providers from time to time, but the third-party no-training restriction described in Section 3 continues to apply.

4.3 Google Ads conversion measurement

We use Google Ads conversion tracking to assess the effectiveness of our search-engine-marketing campaigns. When you arrive through a Google advertisement, Google may append an advertising-click identifier to the destination URL. After you consent to Advertising Measurement cookies where required, the Website may store that identifier in a first-party _gcl_* cookie and report an eligible conversion event to Google Ads.

The information reported may include the advertising-click or campaign identifier, the type and time of the conversion, consent state, page or destination information and basic technical request information. We do not send the content of sourcing requests, WhatsApp messages or other communications to Google Ads for this purpose.

We use this integration for attribution, aggregated reporting and campaign optimization. We do not use it to create remarketing audiences, retarget Website visitors, personalize advertising, operate Customer Match or send enhanced conversions containing hashed email addresses, telephone numbers or other contact information.

We do not sell personal information. We also do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as "sharing" is defined under California law. Our advertising integration is limited to the conversion-measurement purposes described above.

4.4 Legal, safety and organizational disclosures

We may also disclose personal information:

  • to courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where required or permitted by law;
  • to professional advisers, auditors and insurers where reasonably necessary;
  • where necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of ChinaSource, our users, suppliers or others; or
  • in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

5. International Transfers

LeadsNavi Pte. Ltd. is established in Singapore, and ChinaSource is designed to facilitate sourcing relationships with suppliers located in China. Your personal information may therefore be accessed or processed in Singapore and China, including by our personnel, affiliated companies, service providers and prospective suppliers.

We and our service providers may also process personal information in other countries. The privacy laws of those countries may differ from those of the country where you live.

Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, and supplementary contractual, technical or organizational measures. You may contact us to request further information about safeguards relevant to your personal information.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing and improving our services, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and satisfying legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements.

We may retain information for longer where reasonably necessary for pending litigation, a regulatory investigation, a legal hold, fraud prevention or another binding legal requirement. Where practical, we delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. These measures may include access controls, confidentiality requirements, security monitoring, vendor controls and safeguards for information in transit or storage, as appropriate to the nature and risk of the processing.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for using appropriate care when sending commercially sensitive or personal information through third-party communications services.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to or a copy of your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your personal information;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format or request its transfer to another organization;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of marketing communications;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request information about safeguards used for international transfers; and

To exercise a right, email service@chinasource.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Rights may be subject to exceptions, and we may retain or continue processing information where the law permits or requires us to do so.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe mechanism in the message or by contacting us. You can withdraw cookie consent through the Cookie Settings control on the Website.

If you are in the EEA, you may contact the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. A list of EEA authorities is available through the European Data Protection Board. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to our processing, you may have the right to:

  • know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources, purposes and categories of recipients;
  • request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
  • limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information; and
  • exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.

As described above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger a right to limit under California law.

You may submit a request through service@chinasource.com. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may require evidence of the agent's authority and may need to verify your identity directly. The categories of information collected, sources, purposes, retention periods and recipients are described in Sections 1, 2, 4 and 6 of this Privacy Policy.

10. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Measurement

The Website uses strictly necessary cookies and optional analytics and advertising-measurement technologies. These include first-party preference and consent cookies, Cloudflare security or analytics technology, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement.

Google Ads conversion tracking uses first-party _gcl_* cookies to retain an advertising-click identifier and associate a later conversion with the relevant search campaign. Where required, those cookies are not written or read unless you accept Advertising Measurement cookies. We do not use the Google Ads integration for remarketing, personalized advertising, Customer Match or enhanced conversions.

When advertising storage is denied, Google Consent Mode may still send cookieless requests containing limited technical, consent and event information for aggregated or modeled measurement. These requests do not write or read Google Ads cookies on your device.

You can use Cookie Settings at any time to review or change your choices. For details about the technologies used, their purposes and their typical duration, see our Cookies Policy.

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to those signals, the Website does not currently respond to them as a separate control. You can use Cookie Settings to control optional technologies. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a particular browser-based opt-out signal, we will process that signal as required.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Website and our services may link to or allow you to interact with third-party services, including WhatsApp, Google Maps, social-media platforms, supplier websites and other external resources. An ordinary outbound link does not by itself give the linked service access to the content of your ChinaSource communications, but the third party may collect information after you follow the link or use its service.

This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we encourage you to review them before providing personal information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, providers, practices or legal obligations. We will post the updated version on the Website and change the "Last updated" date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.

13. Controller and Contact Information

LeadsNavi Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at 64D KALLANG PUDDING ROAD, #10-00, TANNERY BUILDING, Singapore 349323, is the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy, except where another party is identified as an independent controller.
